If you live in Ireland and do not have a medical card or GP Visit Card, you are considered a private patient if you visit your family doctor (GP).

Fees should be settled on day of your consultation.

Services which are free to Private Patients
We provide certain services to private patients free of charge – for example, maternity and infant welfare services, childhood immunisation and Cervical Check (National cervical screening programme). There are certain terms and conditions of these schemes. If unsure, please ask reception when booking your appointment.

General Medical Card
This card entitles you to most medical treatments and your prescription free. Unfortunately the card does not cover the cost of blood tests taken to monitor chronic conditions / travel vaccines / forms / sick certificates etc. In those cases fees may be applicable.

Doctor Visit Card
This card entitles you to Doctor Visit Only. You will have to pay for your prescriptions from the pharmacy. Unfortunately the card does not cover the cost of blood tests taken to monitor chronic conditions / travel vaccines /forms / sick certificates etc. In those cases fees may be applicable.

Under 6’s Doctor Visit Card
This card entitles you to Doctor Visit Only. You will have to pay for your prescriptions from the pharmacy. Unfortunately the card does not cover the cost of blood tests taken to monitor chronic conditions / travel vaccines / forms / sick certificates etc. In those cases fees may be applicable.

New patients please phone the practice for your registering appointment. NEW private patients will be asked for their credit/debit card details to hold the appointment. If the appointment is missed without notice, your card will be charged €35.

Should you need to cancel an appointment you have made with us, please provide us with at least 18 hours’ notice. This will enable us to offer your appointment slot to one of our other patients.

Please be aware that should you miss your appointment or fail to cancel with at least 18 hours’ notice there will be a charge of Euro 30 for missed appointments.
