Dr. McMahon is a member of the E Doc out of hours service which is run from the grounds of St Vincent’s Hospital, Mount Merrion. This is a service provided by a co-operative of local General Practitioners. This is an appointment system which greatly reduces waiting time for patients as well as avoiding A&E departments. The fee is €70.
Details regarding the out of hours consultation are electronically sent to Dr. McMahon at Amaranta Family Practice the same day to allow for continuity of care.
E Doc is available from 6pm to 8am Monday to Thursday and from 6pm on Friday to 8am on Monday at the weekends.
E Doc is also open on Bank holidays from 6pm to 8am the following morning.
