Blood Tests *
We take blood samples on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings and send them by courier to the laboratory. This will save you a trip to the local hospital. These appointments can be booked by phoning the practice directly.
Vaccinations *
Infant vaccinations.
Travel vaccinations (and travel health advice) eg typhoid, hepatitis A & B, yellow fever, polio and malaria prophylaxis. Please make an appointment one month before departure.
Occupational vaccinations eg hepatitis A & B and tetanus.
Flu vaccinations – particularly recommended for patients with diabetes and heart, lung and kidney disease.
24 hour Blood Pressure Monitoring*
ECG*
Cryosurgery *
The technique of freezing warts, verrucae and a number of skin lesions.
Minor Surgery *
For example: incision and drainage of abscesses, stitching wounds, etc.
Driving Fitness Tests
These include eye tests.
Asthma Care
Regular check-ups will improve the management of asthma.
Health Screening *
This includes a physical examination and full blood screen (including cholesterol, blood sugar, liver function and other tests as necessary). Advice is available on diet, weight control, exercise, alcohol and smoking.
